Samuel Clemens | Director & Producer
Samuel Clemens is an award-winning director and producer recognized for his mastery of both classical performance and cutting-edge filmmaking technology. As a co-founder of Take The Shot Films, Samuel has positioned himself at the forefront of the industry’s shift toward Virtual Production (VP), most notably with his feature film directorial debut, The Drowned. Developed in partnership with Featuristic Films and Ramaz Studios, the project follows his success with the award-winning A Bad Day To Propose, a pioneering blend of VP and 8mm film.
Trained at the prestigious Drama Centre London, Samuel’s directorial portfolio is defined by its versatility, spanning high-stakes commercial campaigns and critically acclaimed drama. His credits include work for global distributors and brands such as Studio Canal, Amazon Prime, ITVX, Vertigo Releasing, Hammer Films, and JD Sports.
Beyond the screen, Samuel is a prolific force in the audio and theatrical sectors. He serves as a lead director and producer for the industry stalwart Big Finish Productions, helming iconic titles within the Doctor Who and The Avengers universes. His theatrical work includes both acclaimed London fringe productions, repertory seasons and a Number One UK Tour.
As a dedicated educator, Samuel is committed to shaping the next generation of talent. He is a regular tutor at The London Film Academy and The Giles Foreman Centre for Acting, and holds recurring roles at Guildhall, The London Film School, The National Youth Film Academy, and The Rose Youth Theatre. His career highlights include the multi-award-winning Surgery and The Lighter, starring the late Sir Roger Moore.
